PROPER CARE
Always keep your automatic transmission (or transaxle) fluid level full. Low automatic transmission fluid (ATF) level is a major cause of transmission failure. Low fluid level causes transmission clutches to slip, especially in cold weather or on hills. Furthermore, slipping transmissions produce excessive heat, burned clutches and finally burned automatic transmission fluid. The burned fluid circulates throughout the transmission and causes further damage.
